30 Day Book Challenge-Day 4

So I've been MIA for a little while. Mostly I was just taking a break from blogging because after almost 3 years it had started to feel like a chore and that is not how I wanted to look at it all. Now I finally feel ready to start posting again. And what better way to start the habit of posting regularly again than doing a 30 day challenge. So for 30 days in August I'll be posting daily for the challenge, and on August 31st I'll post a surprise!
Now, just to put this out there right now, I reserve the right to cheat on this challenge. Cheat as in if it asks for one favorite book...I might put two...or 5.
Let the challenge begin!

FAVORITE BOOK OF YOUR FAVORITE SERIES

There is a never-ending list of series that I love.
And with pretty much all of them, the first book is my favorite. I just love the introduction to the characters, the world, the conflict. That's my favorite part.
Here are a few of my favorite firsts:

The setup for this story is so great. And the world that the girls find is one of my favorites.

I didn't really think I would like a whole book about fae. Julie Kagawa made me a lover of fairy stories.
And Ash, ohhh am I a fan of Ash.

Yeah, I know a lot of people are over vampires and what not, but I'm not. VA will always be a series that I go back to when I want nonstop action, romance, and suspense. The first book, as I said before, is my favorite. Dimitri <3
AND there is a MOVIE coming out in 2014, which I am super stoked about!

This is a pretty beautiful story about choices and being free to make the right or wrong choice.
The setup of this premise in the first book is pretty great and really tears you in different directions.

One of the first dystopians that I read. Also, being one of the first it's the one that opened up my love for dystopians.

Oh this trilogy holds a special place in my heart. Never really being a big fan of contemps I started this one not really expecting much. Thank you, Jenny Han for writing the perfect contemp. I couldn't wait to find out how it ended, but didn't want it to end at the same time. And thank you for Conrad. He's pretty wonderful.

Who doesn't love Harry Potter? Even though I haven't read the entire series yet (I'm trying to savor it) I really think my favorite will always be the first. The introduction to the phenomenon

Mainly I read YA, but every now and again another type of book grabs my attention. Urban fantasy has sucked me in and not let me go. Now, urban fantasy romance is not for everyone, and neither is this series, but I do love it. Evil fae. That right there had me hooked. No cute little pixies like Tinkerbell. And then with how everyone raved about Jericho Barrons I had to give it a try. Yep, love it.

As I said, that was a fairly lengthy list. What can I say, I love series :)
What are some of your favorite books from your favorite series?
