Now, I have never been the kind of girl that freaks out over Valentine's Day and having some boy to spend it with. But, of course, being a girl who loves chocolate and flowers, I wouldn't turn them down if someone offered me some.
Then came the day I fell in love.
And from that love we have created a great marriage together.
But being an Army wife there is never a guarantee that I will ever get to spend any special kind of day with my husband.
So I still do not look at Valentine's Day as a day I HAVE to spend with him. Because, just as it was last year, this year he is gone for military training and we won't see each other.
Why set myself up for disappointment, right?
No, for me, Valentine's Day is a day to just remember to love.
So I wanted to write this little note up to just encourage you to love today. Whether it be a significant other, your children, family, friends, or a stranger. Just show a little love today.
Because a little can go a long way, and might make someone feel really special.
So...
