Top Ten Books I Need To Get A Hold Of!

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by the lovelies over at The Broke and the Bookish
If only...

This week's Top Ten Tuesday is books that I really really want to read but have yet to buy.

My to-read list seems never ending, but my list of books to-buy almost seems just as long. It's hard for me to keep up with all the new releases or all the books that were released years ago that I just recently found out about that I have yet to get.
So here are 11 (yeah, I added an extra one) of the books, in no particular order, that I really want to read but I have yet to get a hold of.

Hex Hall (Hex Hall, #1)

Boarding school books are some of my favorites. Magic books are some of my favorites. I've heard so many good things about this trilogy. I have no idea why I haven't bought this book yet.

The Replacement

The cover was originally what drew me to this book. It's creepy as hell...good, creepy, dark books are always something I'm looking for. I just haven't bought this one yet even though I've wanted to read it since before it released.

Hourglass (Hourglass, #1)

Myra McEntire is one of my favorite authors on Twitter. That alone piqued my interest in her books. Then that cover happened. It's fantastic. I planned on buying this the day that it came out...I just never got around to it.

The Adoration of Jenna Fox (Jenna Fox Chronicles, #1)

A blogger friend that I really trusted when it came to book recommendations (she no longer blogs or I would link to her blog) raved about this book. I've been wanting to read it for years now, just every time I see it at a bookstore for some reason I don't grab it.

The Year We Were Famous

This was one of my Waiting On Wednesday posts a couple months before it was released in 2011. It sounded so fantastic and I couldn't wait to get my hands on it...but I still haven't bought it.

The Diviners (The Diviners, #1)

I adore Libba Bray's books. The Gemma Doyle trilogy is one of my favorites. So when I heard about a new magic book taking place in the 20's I knew I was going to have to have it....yet I have still haven't added it to my bookshelf.

Isla and the Happily Ever After (Anna and the French Kiss, #3)

Is there anyone who doesn't want this book? I even have a coupon to use on it at Half Price Books so I know I'll be getting it for a great deal...I just need to actually find time to get to HPB to get it.

Raw Blue

Melissa over at I Swim For Oceans has gone on and on about how perfect this book is. In her REVIEW for it she says "I give it a firm5 out of 5, hands down, and I have to say it's probably the best contemporary fiction I've ever read." And I really trust Melissa's recommendations.
The only problem is it's a book from Australia and I've had no way to get a hold of it. Book Depository has never had it and even if they did my bank actually won't allow orders on my debit card for BD because they have had problems with stolen card numbers when used on that site. So I don't actually have a way to get this book even though I am dying to read it.

PODs (PODs, #1)

PODs sounded so great when I first heard about it. And I LOVE post-apocalyptic stories. It also released a few days before my birthday last year so I was going to buy it as a bday gift to myself...never happened.

Split Second (Pivot Point, #2)

I. Loved. Pivot Point. A lot.
I had a countdown for when it released.
Still haven't bought it.
I am still dying to know what happens.

Through the Ever Night (Under the Never Sky, #2)

I was pleasantly surprised with Under The Never Sky. It wasn't really on my radar but I had seen some blogger friends tweeting about it so when I found it at HPB one day and I had a coupon I decided to buy it on sort of a whim. I really enjoyed the characters and story line so I really wanted the second book...hasn't happened yet.

So fellow book lovers, I'm leaving it up to y'all, which book off this list should I buy and read first?
What books are on your list?

  4. Hex Hall is a cute read. Raw Blue was really good. I wasn't thrilled with The adoration of jenna fox. The others are ones I have on my shelf that I need to read like the replacement, hourglass.

  6. Awww, I wish I had a HPB where I live. The only bookstore we have is Barnes and Noble and a couple used book stores that are so-so on content.

But yeah, Isla is awesome! The book is so pretty.

    1. I used to live somewhere where I didn't have a HPB and it wasn't good. Whenever I made trips home I made sure to hit up as many HPBs as possible because I love it so. I wish you had one!
