Top 10 Best Bookish Memories

image

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by the lovelies over at The Broke and The Bookish.

This week the TTT subject is our best bookish moments. The examples given at TB&TB are waiting in line for a new release, meeting an author, or some sort of great experience with a particular book that was unlike others.

Austin Teen Book Festival
2011 - Author Meetings
I got to meet Maureen Johnson, Stephanie Perkins, Andrea Cremer, and Jenny Han.
Yeah, I was a total fangirl that day.

Austin Teen Book Festival
2012 - Author Meetings
Libba Bray. I met Libba freakin' Bray!
And so many other amazing authors.

Austin Teen Book Festival
2012 - Fan Meetings
I met multiple people at the Fest that said they read my blog and they are a fan of it.
Wait, what?! A fan? Of my little blog??

It was so strange hearing that, but one of my best moments in book blogging so far.

Adr3nalin3 Book Tour
Talking to Tracey Deebs
The authors that stopped in town for this tour were some of the nicest ladies I've met.
The whole thing was fantastic, but I will never ever forget when I got to talk to Tracey Deebs. At one point in our conversation she asked me if I was a writer and I told her yes, that I was working on something. She asked what it was and I explained the premise. She got so excited about it with me and even told me when it was published she would love if I signed a copy for her.
She didn't have to say any of that to me, but she did. And she told me never to give up and always push forward. It was so encouraging.

Receiving my first ARC
I think I scared the mail lady half to death when I saw what the package was that she handed me.

I hadn't been blogging for more than a few months so I wasn't expecting to get a copy of Across the Universe in the mail.
I nearly fainted.

Breaking Dawn Book Release
Even though I did not like the book really at all, going to the midnight release was lots of fun.
There were tons of people dressed up, the excited energy in the room was fantastic, and Starbucks made a special frap to serve during the release...and I'm a sucker for a good Starbucks drink.

The Fault in our Stars release
Nothing big deal happened.
All I did was go to B&N and pick up a copy.
But that book totally took me by surprise.
It is now one of my favorites and will always be.
EVERYONE SHOULD READ IT!

Those are the moments that I could think of right now.
And hopefully I'll have many many more to come :)
