Letters To Elise by Amanda Hocking.

"In My Blood Approves, Peter Townsend fell in love with Alice Bonham, but she wasn't his first love. In a new novella told through his letters, his history is revealed."- Goodreads.
ebook, 101 pages
Published December 20th 2010

I absolutely LOVE Amanda Hocking's "My Blood Approves" series. One of my favorites. And my favorite character happens to be Peter. I love him. I can prove it. Just call Santa up and ask him what was on my Christmas list. Peter was.
Well, I don't think Santa will be showing up with him and putting him under my tree, but this book was a pretty good alternative.
In the "My Blood Approves" series Peter is very quiet and distants himself from his family when Alice starts coming around.
In this novella, it's all about Peter, and boy is he an emotional being. Talk about a tear jerker!

It's a pretty quick read. I got it done in about 2 hours. I liked how it was written in letter form. Very different and you really got to see his personality and how he became who he is really well.
Oh! And the last entry! Let me tell you, that was not fair.
I don't just want the next MBA book, but NEED it because of that entry.

You should definitely read this though.
If you haven't read the "My Blood Approves" series you should read that too. I personally would suggest those first, then this one because some things would make more sense. But it would probably work reading this one first. Either way you do it. Read them!

  1. I am big fan of Amanda Hockings series, "My bloods approves" it is absolutely addictive. My fav character is also Peter there is just something about him. I wish that Alice had picked him i don't think he even got a chance. I am waiting to get a Nook to read "Letters to Elise"

  2. I myself have been reading "My Blood Approves" and i finished the 2nd book. Now i need to buy the 3rd book "Flutter". It is a really good series and i enjoy reading it alot! I think i like Jack more than Peter. He seems better off with Alice i think. There is another series by Amanda Hocking called the "Trylle Trilogy". That it also a pretty good story, im not gonna really explain it. But if you seem interested you should definitely look into reading it.

  3. I haven't read Letters to Elise yet...but I REALLY REALLY WANT TO!! Peter was kinda my favorite character but i dont know. It was so unfair at the end of Wisdom how Alice ended up with Jack. I like peter better than jack and they were meant for eachother. Also Peter would constantly help Alice or save Jacks life (spoiler) and Alice would barely thank him, she would just run to jack and hug him and kiss him....TOTALLY UNFAIR...But anways I am extremely excited to read this book. And this series was extremely addicting in a really creepy way and I can't get it off my mind! I am seriously getting worried. But anyways this is an amazing series....

  4. You sound very energetic reading this haha. I wanna read Letter's To Elise to! I finished the series yesterday and by the way it was a great series i enjoyed it alot. I prefer Jack more though i think. I mean Peter did have his chance to be with her in the beginning but he blocked her off. While Jack was right there waiting for her to come to him. Also if you know any other good series please let me know and i will look into it. But i have 1 question. not trying to sound dumb. But since Jack and Alice are both vampires(spoiler)could they still have kids or would they adopt?? P.S im the Anonymous person below Les Immortales comment:)

  5. You don't sound dumb at all. That's a good question. If I am remembering correctly from the series, I don't believe they can have kids. I think that is explained in the 4th one, Wisdom. Something happens with Mae in that story that involves children, so I think that is when the topic comes up.

Some of my favorite series are: The Hunger Games, Vampire Academy, The Gemma Doyle Trilogy, Uglies. Delirium was an amazing book, though it's just one book right now. The second is coming out next year. Love the Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare. They are filled with tons of action and have some pretty good twists.
That's all I can think of right now.

Hope you all enjoy this one when you get to read it!

  6. Ok i just wasn't sure if they could or not haha. Thank you for answering it. I've read The Hunger Games, and the Mortal Instruments, both are good series. Now I'm waiting for Cassandra Clare's 2nd book for the Infernal Devices to come out in August I believe? Also is the series the Uglies a good series? I've heard on one side it's good and another that it isn't. So I wasn't sure if I should read it or not?

  7. I really enjoyed Uglies. I love dystopians and it was such an original concept. So if you like dystopia type stories I would say give them a try.
